U2 Trickarus

Icarus and his friends have crafted handmade wings. Day and night, jubilant for their newfound freedom, they fly higher and higher... A trick game in which it is all about flying, doing somersaults and trying not to rise towards the burning sun.

With competitive (2-5p) and cooperative (3-5p) modes, players earn tricks to fly higher in the sky. The winner of each trick moves on to the next open space above him on the scoring track unless he flies into the sun, in which case he will plummet to below the player below.

Each card has two different values that alternate (along with the trump suit) each time a 5-card hand is played. With rules simple enough to teach in a few minutes, Trickarus is accessible to those unfamiliar with the tricks, while also presenting enough challenges for the more experienced to experiment with different strategies.
