Angdáin, the second city of the great realm of Tlátal in eastern Nahuac, has recently been devastated by Allarian attacks. In the wake of the attempted invasion, the people of Angdáin rebuild, determined to restore the city once more to the pinnacle of cosmopolitan artistry, beauty, and learning.

Such beauty, however, conceals many secrets. For all its reputation as a place of artistry, Angdáin is ruled by the ceéb jaguar-kin, and as such is a set of power and military strength in the heart of Nahuac. Its districts are run by councils of speakers and elders, whose views do not always align. It is also a place of magic and superstition, where the cycle of life and death has a very different meaning than elsewhere in Valerna. In Angdáin, secrets are buried, a darkness festers, and the song of the cicadas presages death.

The Weeping Mother is a Tier 3 adventure in the world of Dragonbond, designed for the 5th edition of the world's most famous roleplaying game. This adventure is balanced for a party of four to five characters of levels 11-13.
